Mackerel can be prepared in various ways, but salting remains one of the favorite methods of many. The fish turns out tasty and tender due to the specific meat of mackerel. Not everyone is ready to wait around the clock for the result. You can prepare a lightly salted version to enjoy the dish a couple of hours after cooking.
What ingredients are needed
- half a kilo of fish;
- 1 medium-sized onion;
- a large spoonful of salt and a little sugar;
- two pieces of cloves, bay pepper and a little pepper to taste.
How to cook
The fish should first be defrosted, washed, cleaned and chopped into small portioned pieces. Salt, sugar and pepper are combined into a single mass.
Chop the onion into rings.
Then you need to choose a jar or container for salting.
Put a mixture of salt and pepper, put the fish, put the onion and salt again. Continue this until the fish is finished. Leave the cloves and bay leaves on top.
The fish should stand in the refrigerator for 60 minutes. After that, it should be shaken and turned over. As soon as another hour has passed, the fish can be served.
