Have you ever tried to pickle onions? It doesn't always work out, sometimes you have to wait a long time, it happens that it is too sour or bitter. But according to this recipe, it will turn out quickly and will be sweet, and it is delicious in salads or with meat. It balances and tastes perfectly!
The main nuance that must be taken into account is to cut the onion into half rings or cubes not very thinly, 2-3 mm should be kept in thickness. Pour hot water over the chopped onion, but not boiling water, i.e. boil the kettle and wait ten minutes.
Drain the water after 5 minutes and add the following ingredients. Based on 1 large onion: 1 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. apple vinegar, 1 tbsp. oil Mix and leave for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
The onion will be very tasty, the marinade can be drained if you use it all at once, or you can continue to store it. It is preferable to eat within two days, if desired, it is better to marinate fresh.
