Features of planting
The bushes should have a closed root system. If you do not have such and the roots are dry, then you need to prepare the bush. Make a solution with the drug “Aktara” and put a bush in it for a while. This will protect it and prevent insects from damaging it.
If the roots are good, juicy, then add Kornevin, 1 kg of clay and 1 kg of black soil to Aktara, a bucket of water. Currants are dipped in such a solution before planting. This is the best protection of the root system when planting.
The planting hole for the bush should be approximately 50 by 50 cm. Be guided by your seedlings. The pit is dug two weeks before planting. Approximately ¾ is covered with soil and left to settle.
Before planting, the bush shoots should be trimmed and leaves should be removed, if any. The branches are shortened by 15-20 cm. Then they are immersed in the solution indicated above, and then the bush is planted in the hole at an angle of 30-45 degrees. Next, it is covered with soil as standard, tamped, a furrow is made around it and a bucket of water is poured into it. Currant bushes can be mulched with sand or humus.
