How to prepare a simple, but very tasty “Cole slaw” classic salad
Vitaminous, simple, but very tasty and quick. A classic cole slaw salad will require a minimal set of available products. The main difference from other similar dishes is the dressing, which makes it very appetizing and juicy.
Ingredients:
- White cabbage – 300 g
- Carrots – 200 g
- Celery stem – to taste
For the sauce:
- Sour cream – 3 table . l.
- Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp. l.
- Mustard – 1 tsp. l.
- Salt – pinch
- Black pepper ground to taste
- Sugar pinch (to taste)
Preparation:
It is better to take young cabbage, if this is not possible, then choose only thin leaves without coarse seals from old cabbage. Any mustard is suitable for mayonnaise sauce. Salt, sugar, pepper can be adjusted to taste, you can also add your favorite spices. Celery can be replaced with apple, bell pepper, green onion or not added at all.
Remove the upper leaves from the cabbage, wash it and finely chop it. Put the chopped cabbage in a deep bowl.
Peel and wash the carrots. Grate the carrots on a medium grater. You can also use a grater for Korean carrots. Send the chopped carrots to the cabbage bowl.
Wash the celery leaves, cut them finely and add to the salad.
In a deep bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, salt, sugar, black pepper and mix. . Dress the salad with sauce before serving.
Cole slaw salad can be served as an independent dish, and also served as a side dish to meat, potatoes, chicken, fish.
