Garden whitewash is a must autumn procedure. It is carried out to protect against sunburn, frostbite cracks, and pests. There is a question of choosing a means for whitening the trunk. Experienced gardeners offer three options. Read about them later in the article.

Traditionally, trees are whitened with lime. 2.5 kg of lime is needed for 10 liters of water. 0.5 kg of copper sulfate and 200 g of carpentry glue are added to the mixture.

Whitewashing can be done on the basis of chalk. It is necessary to dissolve 2.5 kg in 10 liters of water. For better adhesion during bleaching, you will need 10 tbsp. flour paste.

Whitening agent with the addition of manure. So, you will need a standard 10 liters of water, in which 2.5 kg of lime, 300 g of copper sulfate, and 1 kg of clay are dissolved. And here they add 1 shovelful of manure.
Not everyone knows why manure can be added to mixtures. Gardeners claim that in this way the trees are additionally nourished. It also improves the viscosity of the mixture itself.
