How to prevent the appearance of unwanted bugs in the beans you store

Small bugs can settle in a can of beans even if it was tightly closed with a lid. The grain beetle destroys stocks, but not itself, but its larvae, which get into the bean pods while it was still in the garden. It is impossible to notice them during the peeling, and that is why it is necessary to insure against possible unpleasantness in advance.

Details

After you have extracted the beans from the pods, they must be dried in the sun, and then put them in canvas bags and send them for storage in a cool place – a balcony that is not heated is perfect.

For fidelity, add 2-3 cloves of garlic or a few bay leaves to each bag.

< This method is used if the apartment does not have a balcony. After peeling, put the beans in a container and leave them for 2-3 days on the shelf of the freezer.

You can store such beans in any closed container, and even use them as planting material in the spring.

If you do not plan to plant beans, pour them on a baking sheet in a thin layer and fry for 5-7 minutes in the oven at a temperature of 130 degrees.
