There are tricks that involve not only regular water changes. There are inexpensive means that allow you to extend the life of your favorite flowers in a vase.

Additional feeding will significantly increase the lifespan of cut plants. There are six additives that will allow you to get the desired result:

1. Granulated sugar (1 tbsp. l. per liter);
2. Table vinegar (2 tsp. l. per liter);
3. Ammonia (2 drops per liter);
4. Vodka (1 tbsp. l. per liter);
5. Activated carbon (3 tablets per liter);
6. Aspirin (1 tablet per liter).

There are also more complex methods that are guaranteed to prolong the life of cut roses. Hot baths for stems, which are immersed in 90-degree water for 5 minutes. At the time of immersion, the buds and leaves are wrapped in film. Having cut the ends of the stems again, they are placed in cold water.

After the roses have spent 3 hours in cool water, the thorns are cut off. The skin is peeled off from the bottom of the stems and the cut is lightly burned in a flame. This shock therapy awakens the hidden “reserves of strength” of the rose for a few more days.
