If you want to fry, bake or stew meat, then will have to take a younger bird. The age should be up to six months.
Duck will not be tasty if you skip the marinating stage. Otherwise, even a considerable cooking time will not help to make the duck softer.
Most often, citrus fruits with olive oil and spices are used for the marinade.
However, you can also go the simpler way. Find a suitable container in which you can place the bird, pour a sufficient amount of water. After that, the duck should be sent to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator for 10-12 hours.
