How to properly cook cauliflower in 15 minutes

Cauliflower can be boiled in different ways. It is classically prepared in a saucepan.

First, wash the cabbage, and then divide it into florets with a sharp knife. Boil water in an enamel pot. Add salt and send the cabbage florets into the water. Cook for 15 minutes on low heat, and then discard in a colander.

Cauliflower can be cooked in a pressure cooker, microwave oven, slow cooker, steamer. At the same time, you must follow the basic rules of cooking:

  • do not thaw the frozen vegetable, but immediately send it to cold water, salt and boil it;
  • before cooking, divide the fresh cabbage into florets and a little keep in salted water;
  • so that the cabbage does not get a yellow tint, do not cover the pan with a lid during cooking;
  • so that it does not darken during cooking, at the end of cooking, add 1 tbsp. l. vinegar;
  • if you plan to fry cabbage, pre-boil until half-cooked;
  • use an enamel container for boiling;
