How to properly cook chicken fillet to preserve tenderness and juiciness

Properly cooked chicken fillet is the basis of many dishes, but it is often dried out or made too fresh. However, with a few simple tips, you can prepare tender and juicy meat that is ideal for salads, sandwiches or side dishes.

If you add a few vegetables and spices to the cooking water, the fillet will absorb more flavor and become more fragrant For example, onions, carrots, bay leaves and black pepper can dramatically change the taste of meat.

To prepare the perfect chicken fillet, you will need:

    < li>2 chicken fillets
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • < li>Water

Do not start cooking the fillet in boiling water. It is best to put the meat in cold water so that it heats up evenly and retains its juiciness.

Put the chicken fillet in a saucepan and pour cold water so that the water covers the meat by several centimeters. Add the peeled carrot, onion, bay leaf and a few black peppercorns for flavor.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. When the water boils, remove the foam so that the broth is transparent, and reduce the heat to a minimum.

Cook the fillet over low heat for 15-20 minutes. Do not overcook, so that the meat remains tender.

After cooking, leave the fillet in the broth for 5-10 minutes, so that the meat will finally “cook” and absorb the aromas.
