How to properly knead the dough for dumplings

Did you know that the success of delicious dumplings depends not only on the filling, but also on the dough? It should be tender, elastic and easy to work with. Use any fillings (sweet or savory).
Ingredients:
- flour — 500 g;
- egg — 1 pc.;
- water (boiled) — 200 ml;
- salt — a pinch;
- oil — 1 tbsp. l.
Pour the flour into a deep bowl and make a well in the center. Add the egg, salt, and oil, gradually pouring in the water. Knead the dough until it becomes soft and stops sticking to your hands.
To make the dough more elastic, cover it with a towel and leave it to “rest” for 20 minutes. This gives the gluten time to open, which makes it easier to roll out and mold. When molding the dough according to this recipe, you don't need to add flour, which is very convenient and clean.
