How to properly store honey to preserve vitamins

Often in the kitchen you can see a picture: a jar of with honey on the table, next to sugar and other goodies that are needed during tea time. But this violates important rules of honey storage and therefore minimizes the beneficial properties that everyone is talking about.

Details

Natural honey should be stored at a temperature no higher than 6 degrees. Accordingly, honey is mistakenly stored simply on the table at room temperature, it can spoil, “play” and will not taste good with tea, and such a product will not be useful. It is better to store in the refrigerator. Do not worry that the honey will harden, although it will be more difficult to collect, but the vitamins will be in place.

The next important rule is a hermetically sealed container. The best option is a glass jar, but you can also take a ceramic vessel or a tray made of food-grade plastic. Never store honey in iron or galvanized containers, because oxidation can occur.
