How to “protect” potatoes before flipping

At this stage of the growing season, it is important to carry out competent feeding to create a basis excellent harvest and protect potatoes from pests. Early varieties are not treated with insecticides, because at the time of harvest, harmful substances will still be in the potatoes. Therefore, many summer residents resort to folk remedies, which are safer, easier to perform, and effective.
Against aphids and phytophthora
A nettle infusion is effective against aphids and phytophthora. It is made from fresh nettles, which are infused for 3-4 days. Sample dosage: 500 g of crushed plant per bucket of water.
Against the wireworm
A weak solution of copper sulfate (100 g per bucket of water) helps fight this pest. Spray immediately after rain or watering. This is necessary in order not to burn the leaves.
Against the cabbage moth
A crushed eggshell treated with oil will stop the bear. The edible trap is fried to increase the attractiveness of the pest.
Against the Colorado potato beetle
The following remedy is made against this pest: 200 g of chopped wormwood and ½ cup of wood ash are mixed in a bucket of water.
