Speaking about what type of diet reduces the risk of heart disease, scientists have stated that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grain products, nuts, fish, poultry and vegetable oils can be considered the best. Alcohol should be consumed only in moderate quantities, and also control the consumption of red and processed meat, salt, and saturated animal fats. It is better not to use products with a high level of refined carbohydrates and sugar, trans fats. Speaking on the pages of the Nutrition magazine, experts noted that people whose diet corresponds to such a diet have a 31% lower risk of heart disease.
Scientists focus on some aspects:

- Consumption of too much salt can increase the risk of developing high blood pressure and, with it, coronary heart disease.< /li>
- If you consume more than 90 grams (in cooked form) of red or processed meat per day, experts recommend reducing its amount to 70 grams.
- Smokers are almost twice as likely to have a heart attack times higher than in people who have never smoked. It's never too late to quit smoking!
