Pimples are quick to form but slow to disappear, which can cause a lot of problems if you're getting ready for a hot date, a party with friends, or just having to show your face in public.
Don't worry, here are ways to speed up the reduction of the blemish. Esthetician Jonquil Chantry shares two of the fastest ways to get rid of acne.
No matter where a pimple is on your face, how big it is, or how big it is, you can't make it disappear right away. However, there are two ways to dramatically reduce the size and redness.
Benzoyl Peroxide
If you need a quick at-home solution, Dr. Chantry recommends using benzoyl peroxide. “If possible, try a low dose of the medication. I only prescribe well-tolerated medications.”
Salicylic Acid
Another at-home option is salicylic acid, and there are many products on the market that contain these medicine. “Salicylic acid as a toner or serum can speed up the resolution of acne breakouts.”
How to prevent acne
Don't just rely on treatments to get rid of blemishes, you must have a regimen. Dr. Chantry always recommends a set regimen, but what you should do depends on the severity and cause of the acne.
In general, the expert says, a regimen that treats and protects the skin should include: cleanser, toner , an exfoliant, an antioxidant serum, a sunscreen, and a vitamin A derivative such as retinol or retinoic acid.
