How to reanimate an orchid purchased at a sale

An important nuance is that an orchid from a sale really needs to be reanimated. It is in poor condition. In most cases, a plant from a sale is on the verge of death. However, there is a chance that must be used.

How to help an orchid

Remove the plant from the pot. If there is a peduncle, it must be cut off immediately. It does not carry any value at the moment, but it will definitely interfere. The plant spends nutrients on it instead of renewing and growing roots.

Cut off damaged leaves and rotten or dry roots. It's good if at least something remains. But you can also grow a new orchid from a leaf.

The cleaned orchid should be treated with “Previkur”. This will help stop the development of root rot. Then place the orchid in moss (sphagnum). Water it periodically. If there are no drainage holes, drain the remaining water. But it's better to make them. Place it under a phytolamp for additional lighting. In a month, the orchid will begin to grow and regain its root system and strength for development.
