There are plants that take root very well, once they are in the ground, they immediately expel their roots. They generously secrete phytohormones that contribute to the formation of the root system.
Such a plant is, for example, willow. Therefore, summer residents put cuttings of plants that need to be rooted in the water, and willow twigs there.
The method has been preserved since the 90s, when there was no abundance of rooters and they used folk wisdom. This method also comes in handy now, when the necessary stimulants for plants are not at hand.
