Want delicious and tender liver, but don't have much time? This recipe will allow you to cook juicy liver with onions in just 15 minutes, without sacrificing taste and texture.
Ingredients:
- liver (chicken or pork) – 500 g;
- onions – 2 medium;
- vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. l.;
- salt, pepper – to taste;
- cream or sour cream (optional) – 2-3 tbsp. l.
Wash the liver thoroughly and remove the films and veins, if any. Cut it into small pieces for quick cooking. Salt and pepper it immediately before frying to avoid excessive hardness.
Cut the onion into half rings. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion over medium heat until golden brown, stirring constantly. This takes about 3-4 minutes.
Add the liver pieces to the onion. Fry it over medium heat, stirring occasionally. It is important not to overcook the liver so that it remains soft inside. This will take about 7-8 minutes.
For a more delicate taste, add cream or sour cream. Stir, reduce heat to low, and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Serve the finished liver immediately. It goes well with mashed potatoes, buckwheat, or a light vegetable salad.
