How to store
I will have to throw a spoiler right away: even under ideal conditions, vegetables can spoil. No one is immune from this. However, it is necessary to prepare.
For winter storage, it is recommended to choose vegetables of late varieties. There is no question about the early ones, because they definitely spoil quickly. They should be eaten as soon as possible.
In the basement or in the room where there will be pumpkins and zucchini, the air humidity should be up to 70%. Storage temperature from 0 to +5 degrees. Do not forget that the premises must be ventilated regularly. This should be done once every 2-3 days.
Lay out the pumpkins and zucchini so that they do not touch each other. Do not keep them on the floor, as this will cause them to rot faster. Use pallets or boxes.
If you don't have a cellar, you can store on the balcony without heating. In the case of a cellar, it is necessary to additionally disinfect the room. If the humidity in the room is higher than the required indicators, then spread salt or sawdust so that they absorb it. In time, remove from storage those fruits that have begun to spoil.
