How to transplant voluminous flowers so as not to harm them: advice from professional florists
For every indoor plant sooner or later the time comes when it needs to be transplanted.
And if, as a rule, there are no difficulties with small-sized flowers, then in the case of large plants certain problems may arise.
The first advice from experts is to call someone for help – this is how you protect yourself from possible injury (for example, when working with a heavy pot with soil, you can break your back), and also protect the above-ground part of the plant from damage.
To make it easier to get the flower out of the pot, make sure to water it beforehand soil, and then wait for some time until the earth lump is completely soaked.
After that, put the pot on its side and use a knife, which should be long and thin, to run along the places where the soil comes into contact with the surface of the pot.

Now you can try to pull the base of the trunk and pull out the plant.
The lump of earth with the roots of the flower must be moved to a new container with drainage and a thin layer of soil at the bottom. Carefully spread the roots and spread them over the surface of the soil, then fill the remaining part of the soil from the sides, not forgetting to compact it.
Important: the depth of the root neck should remain unchanged and at the same level, as in the old pot.
