How to transplant Zamioculcas and divide it safely

You have several beautiful zamiokulkas growing in one pot. You need to transplant them, because they are already getting tired of living in the same space. Read on in the post what you need to do to safely divide and transplant correctly.

How to divide correctly

In most cases, there are no problems with zamiokulkas. It is propagated by tubers that grow in the root part. When you remove the plant from the pot, you need to carefully free it from the old soil. Spread the roots without damaging them by tearing them. Then divide them into tubers, from which you will grow Zamioculcas.

Wash the separated parts of the plant with potassium permanganate. If there is none, then in another fungicide. After that, you can proceed to transplanting into new soil.

What soil is best for a castle

You need to lay a drainage layer at the bottom of the pot. Then pour in the soil. For Zamioculcas, the optimal composition will be as follows:

• neutral peat — 65%;
• perlite — 10%;
• vermiculite — 10%;
• charcoal — 15%.

Mix the components. Water the soil with water and biohumus. Fill the pot and transplant the plant. The procedure is complete. After transplanting, do not water Zamioculcas anymore. The next time is possible in about 5-7 days.
