There is no consensus on the usefulness of eggshell among gardeners, but many consider it a good fertilizer, since the shell contains contains a lot of calcium.

However, to use the shell as a fertilizer, it must be prepared. The recommendations indicate that the shell must first be washed, then dried and crushed. Only after that can it be added to the soil to reduce acidity. Also, the crushed shell can be the basis of a solution for watering plants.

Egg shells can also be used as pots for seedlings (pictured) and drainage for indoor plants.
