How to wash dishes from dough residue without ruining the sponge

A delicious homemade pizza or an appetizing pie will undoubtedly please all household members. However, the dishes left after cooking can cause any housewife a headache. It's not even about the amount – if you've ever tried to wash off dough that has stuck to the walls of dishes, you can understand the full burden of this undertaking.

Details

The mass softened in water sticks not only to your hands – it clings to the dishwashing sponge so much that it can only be thrown away. Experienced women, who often take on the role of dishwashers, have discovered patterns that make the unpleasant process easier:

  1. Dishes soiled with dough should never be poured with boiling water. Dough containers should be washed in cold water;
  2. The sticky mass sticks much less to plastic containers – choose plastic products for kneading dough;
  3. Try spreading the dough out of the bowl using a silicone spatula – this way the container will remain almost crystal clear even before washing.
  4. Before wiping the dishes with a sponge soaked in soapy water, clean the bowl using the same whisk that you used to knead the dough. This way the dishcloth will not get dirty and you will not have to change it.
