According to the rheumatologist, it is the first three months are critical in the development of rheumatoid arthritis. Studies have shown that if you catch this sore at the root, it is possible not only to significantly slow down the development of the disease, but also to stop arthritis.
– Every person can diagnose the disease independently. If the pain suddenly started bothering you, and the joints began to swell and bend poorly, do not bother with the doctor, explained the rheumatologist. – It is very important to start treatment immediately in the first stages of the disease.
According to the doctor, many of his patients, who are later diagnosed with arthritis, go to the hospital too late. They suffer from pain for months, hoping that it is a temporary symptom and everything will pass soon. This is the main mistake, the started disease turns into a chronic stage, when it is unfortunately impossible to cure it.
Due to rheumatoid arthritis, people develop a whole bunch of concomitant diseases. These include ischemic stroke, thrombosis, bronchiectasis, nodules in the lungs, osteoporosis, anemia, type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels) and others, which lead to premature death. Thus, untreated arthritis takes 10 years of life.
