In Japan you will almost always meet fat people. What is the secret?

In Japan, the proportion of obese people is lower than in the whole world: it is 3.5% of the population. In Ukraine, for example, it is 53%. So why are there so few overweight people among the Japanese?

There are four factors that make the Japanese one of the slimmest nations in the world.

Attitude towards desserts and sugar. Japanese desserts are small in size and contain few calories. In addition, Japanese dishes have almost no sugar. Usually, as ingredients for making desserts in Japan, they use fruits and rice flour, and instead of sweet carbonated drinks, they make tea with dried fruits.

Chopsticks. In addition to using these chopsticks, the Japanese chew everything thoroughly while eating. In general, in this country, eating is a special ritual. And chopsticks do not allow you to eat something very quickly.

Snack. One of the most popular snacks among the Japanese is a rice triangle. It is a rice ball wrapped in nori seaweed. Moreover, there can be various fillings inside this ball. Such a snack is very satisfying and contains few calories. In addition, the Japanese snack on boiled eggs, baked sweet potatoes, Philippine bananas, dried seaweed, and tofu products.

A healthy, balanced diet. Even in schools in Japan, all meals are prepared from fresh ingredients using oil and vegetable broths.
