Hormones are released at different times of the day in different amounts. Disturbances in this hormone production cause the development of depression, apathy and fatigue, difficulty falling asleep.
The doctor emphasized that the production of hormones is influenced by eating habits. In this regard, the doctor advised not to consume certain products in the evening.
“These include sweets, desserts, and flour products,” the doctor listed.
The doctor explained that in the evening the body begins to prepare for sleep, and he needs to increase the production of the main “sleepy” hormone melatonin. Sweets and white flour products are rich sources of quick energy, due to which the concentration of melatonin decreases. Thus, drowsiness is reduced, a relaxed state passes – it becomes difficult for a person to fall asleep normally.
