In the fall, there will be changes regarding receiving a deferment for students and parents with many children

0 < p>In Ukraine, certain categories of students and parents with many children have the right to postpone mobilization. And in the fall, the function for obtaining it will appear in the “Reserve+” application.

Obtaining deferment in Ukraine

In August of this year, Ukraine made it easier to get a deferment for some categories of citizens, in particular, in the presence of family circumstances.

This concerns care for persons with disabilities of the first or second group: parents of military servicemen of his wife or his wife's parents.

“What is changing here? First of all, we note that today the act of establishing permanent care can be created by the commission within 10 days, the term cannot be extended,” the lawyer noted.

There is also no need for conscripts to prove the presence or absence of other persons who can take care of their parents. The applicant must provide documents confirming that the woman cannot take care of her own parents on her own.

Regarding parents with many children, currently have three children to receive a deferment.is not a sufficient reason. It is necessary to prove the fact of proper maintenance and their upbringing.

“This is confirmed either by documentary contracts on maintenance, court decisions on determining the place of residence of the child with the father, or voluntary payment of alimony obligations,” Khomenko clarified.< /p>

Regarding adopted children, it is enough to have a court decision on adoption.

Deferral for students

At the same time, there are certain problems with issuing deferral from mobilization for students. The main one is to obtain a certificate from the Unified State Electronic Database on Education, which is mandatory. It is impossible to get it, because some educational institutions do not have access to this database.

“This happened because in 2022-2023 these educational institutions exceeded the limits of the licensed volume of students for a certain level of higher education or for a certain of the educational program,” the lawyer clarified.

Therefore, in the fall, changes are planned regarding deferment for students, and possibly other categories that will be automatically included in the “Reserve+” system. And to extend the deferment, you will still have to send paper documents to the TCC.
