In what cases are carrots harmful: the doctor explains

If a person has a not very healthy liver or pancreas gland, carrots can harm it.
In the comments of doctor Svitlana PĂ©rez de Montes Ratherik, the opinion was expressed that “with some diseases, this product should be used with caution”.
Explaining that in in which cases are carrots harmful, the expert noticed that the root vegetable contains a large amount of coarse fiber, and its digestion requires a very strong and healthy digestive system, otherwise problems and pains are possible.
The stomach mucosa can react poorly to fresh carrot juice. If a person has an ulcer, carrots can harm him, even when cooked – with such a diagnosis, the vegetable is completely excluded from the diet.
A weak, unhealthy liver or pancreas are also “afraid” of carrots: “pancreas and liver it is difficult to process vitamin A, which is contained in the root in large quantities in the form of beta-carotene”.
In case of existing pathologies of these organs, carrots should be eaten with caution.
Also, the doctor listed other diseases, which contribute to unwanted reactions of the body to carrots.

- colitis,
- diabetes (in his case, boiled carrots, which raise sugar).
