The most dangerous moles, capable of quickly degenerating into malignant formations, occurring in certain areas of the body, says the oncologist.

Many people know that one of the most aggressive types of cancer – melanoma (skin cancer) – can occur at the site of moles. Doctors advise people who have many moles on their body to monitor their condition.

In her interview, the doctor noted that you should always consult a doctor if the skin surrounding the mole looks reddened, inflamed, as well as if nodules and spots appear on the mole.

“Large moles, as well as those with uneven edges, growing or exposed to direct ultraviolet radiation, are particularly dangerous,” the oncologist warned.

The oncologist clarified which parts of the body the most dangerous moles appear on.

• On the palms.
• On the feet.
• On the mucous membrane .

The specialist reported that “this location of moles is considered borderline and makes them the first candidates for transformation into malignant formations.”

The expert shared advice: moles on the above-mentioned areas of the body it is usually recommended to remove them (although the last word on this matter rests with the doctor who should conduct their diagnosis). Also, the doctor added, moles that are located on the face, on the skin under the hair are vulnerable – they are more aggressively exposed to the sun compared to moles that are hidden by clothing.
