On his Instagram, an oncologist surgeon told about the influence of age on the speed of cancer development. According to him, the opinion that oncology develops faster (sometimes rapidly) in young people than in the elderly is true.

This is related to the speed of metabolic processes in the body, the doctor noted. In addition, hormone-sensitive tumors grow very quickly against the background of high hormonal status. For example, ovarian or breast cancer develops in young women during pregnancy in just a few months.

Any hormonal disturbances and failures can lead to the onset of the disease, the oncologist recalled.

Previously the surgeon said that people with a positive attitude are less likely to get cancer than those who are prone to stress and aggression. A person's mental state plays an important role in his health, so people who maintain a cheerful spirit are less likely to get sick, including cancer.

– Open people, those who feel positive emotions, look positively to the world, in my opinion, they are significantly less sick than closed and aggressive ones, – wrote the expert.

The oncologist also said that refined sunflower oil can cause cancer. According to him, during refining, the product is treated with chemicals, such as gasoline and hexane. Since it is impossible to completely clean the oil from them, they end up in food.
