Oncologist: in the event of the development of a malignant brain tumor, changes in mental properties may occur.

The professor spoke in an interview about the symptoms that gliomas manifest. He noted that the development of these tumors in the brain is often accompanied by changes in the human psyche: he may demonstrate increased irritability, emotional excitability. In addition, his behavior may become aggressive, cynicism and sloppiness may appear.

“The main symptoms of gliomas are a headache that appears spontaneously and gradually intensifies, dizziness and nausea, gait and handwriting disorders, progressive vision loss or double vision, a sharp decrease in memory, numbness and disorders in the movements of the limbs and other parts of the body,” the oncologist emphasized.

The doctor clarified that if such symptoms appear, it is necessary to contact the clinic for an examination and initial tests. The scientist added that formations in the form of meningioma, neurinoma or pituitary adenoma are benign tumors and can often be cured completely. Regarding malignant brain tumors, the oncologist reminded: the period at which the tumor is detected matters.

“The effectiveness of treatment is also affected by the stage at which the disease is detected. “The earlier a malignant tumor is identified, the more successful the treatment will be,” the professor shared.
