Incredibly delicious: a simple recipe for the perfect pickle
Spring is already in full swing, the first greens, radishes have appeared. I don't want to eat canned cucumbers anymore. If you have an open can of cucumbers in the refrigerator for a long time, you can prepare a delicious pickle. Try to cook brine in a slow cooker.
What products will we need:
- 300 g of meat (pork, chicken, beef – your choice );
- 1 carrot and medium-sized onion each;
- 100 grams of pearl barley;
- 2 liters of water;
- 3 pickles;
- a glass of brine;
- 3 medium potatoes;
- a tablespoon of tomato paste;
- 2 tablespoons of any vegetable oil;< /li>
- salt and spices at your discretion;
- sour cream and finely chopped greens for serving.
How to cook:
We pour vegetable oil into the slow cooker and fry the onion and carrot. As soon as the onion is ready, add the meat, cut into pieces of a convenient size.
Set the timer for frying for 5 minutes.
We mix the brine with tomato paste and pour it into our ingredients, not forgetting the chopped pickles.
Simmer for about 8 minutes.
Preliminarily, the pearl barley is in cold water for 3 hours, so we prepare it in advance. Pour in the groats with potatoes, pour in water, add salt and season to taste.
The only thing left to do is to cook for 45 minutes, choosing the “Soup” mode.
You can serve it with sour cream, finely chopped greens.
If you want to make the taste richer, you can add finely chopped garlic and some smoked meat.
