Back in the last century, scientists developed a somatic theory, according to which all the stresses, troubles and anxieties we have experienced, starting from childhood, affect the state of our body, and not only the psyche, but also the muscles and joints, which involuntarily react or reflexively contract.

What is most unpleasant is that we cannot relax them with the help of desires alone. As a result, by the age of thirty, and sometimes even earlier, a person no longer remembers what it means to move freely.

These changes have even been given a special term: sensory-motor amnesia. It is to blame for the false sense of aging. One of the main symptoms of this disease is a decrease in the elasticity of muscles and ligaments, curvature of the spine, chronic joint pain and lameness.

But the decrease in flexibility is not only manifested in appearance. Much more serious is the fact that it leads to impaired blood circulation and, as a result, to a deterioration in metabolism – a direct path to various diseases.

As psychologists say, relaxation is not enough to get rid of stress. Only daily warm-ups and stretching can defeat the false sense of aging, constantly maintain high physical and mental activity. Moreover, many experts argue that in reality there is no reason why we should experience physical suffering in old age. What is happening to our body?

The physical activity of modern people has significantly decreased. We owe this to office work and global computerization. Every day, millions of people work at a computer for 8-10 hours, being in the same position. At the same time, we are so tired that we do not even allow ourselves to mentally climb to your floor without an elevator.

Without daily exercises, including developing flexibility, our muscles weaken and lose mobility. Our children, looking at us, are already accustomed to the fact that deterioration of well-being and stiffness of the body is a standard scenario of life.

Loss of flexibility in a person is the first sign of aging and the appearance of diseases. If you have ever watched a cat, you have noticed how often it effortlessly stretches its body, completely naturally flexing the muscles that it is going to use. Unfortunately, this natural instinct has been practically lost by us.
