Interesting observation from summer residents: artichoke against pests in the greenhouse

Not everyone knows about this method, because it is not so well-known. Artichokes are not a typical culture for our lands, so its properties still need to be determined and verified. One of such experiments was conducted by experienced summer residents.

Artichoke-protector

Eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and many other crops are grown in greenhouses, which systematically suffer from various pests. Constantly spraying plantings with chemical insecticides is also not an option, so summer residents are always looking for environmentally friendly and safe methods of protection.

It was found out. If you plant a few artichokes next to the rows and do not pick them, they will attract all the insects that you would not want to see in the greenhouse. Ants, beetles, butterflies, caterpillars, aphids – they all flock and flock to the artichoke. And other plants continue to grow peacefully and delight with their harvest.
