Intestinal problems negatively affect appearance

A gastroenterologist and therapist states that an unhealthy intestine in a certain way affects the skin, hair, and nails.
The doctor told in an interview what can happen to the appearance when intestinal problems arise. In particular, the appearance of skin rashes and itching is facilitated by bile stasis caused by cholecystitis and other pathologies.
Conditions that disrupt the balance of intestinal microflora also negatively affect the skin.
“The cause of skin problems can be bacterial overgrowth syndrome (BOGS) in the small intestine and dysbacteriosis of the large intestine, in which pathogenic microorganisms that secrete a huge amount of toxins and antigens begin to predominate,” the doctor said.
Another intestinal problem that negatively affects appearance is associated with leaky gut syndrome. In his case, the barrier function of the intestinal wall of the organ is disrupted, as a result of which unwanted, potentially toxic components penetrate the blood from the intestines, which are also able to accumulate in skin cells.
The result is peeling of the skin, pigment spots appear on it.
Licardo said that the deterioration of appearance can be, among other things, caused by substances secreted by intestinal parasites, and not only the skin, but also the hair and nails suffer.
