Full-time students have the right to postpone mobilization. However, not all of them.
Does a student expelled from the university have the right to deferment
The official reminded that during the martial law in the context of the legislation on mobilization in Ukraine, there are restrictions on postponement, which relate to the sequence of educational levels.
If a person already has a bachelor's degree or once enrolled in a bachelor's degree and was expelled, and now resumes studies or re-enrolled in another specialty – he will not have the right to a postponement, – emphasized Vinnytskyi.
He also explained the increase in entrants to the bachelor's degree – if these are individuals who are motivated to get a deferral, then they are entrants who once completed vocational training or colleges.
The deferral does not apply to others. But the very fact that the adult population is getting a higher education should only be welcomed, – noted the deputy head of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Vynnytskyi also clarified that currently there are no plans to introduce any additional restrictions on admission to bachelor's degrees in Ukraine.
“Everyone has the right to obtain an education of any level (by competition). And the state is interested in our society being highly educated,” the official emphasized.
