It couldn't be simpler: red beet salad

A lot of all kinds of preservation in a good housewives in the basement. Is there a beetroot salad there? If not, try it: inexpensive, useful and tasty!

Ingredients:
Red beets – 1 kg
Onions – 1 kg
Bulgarian pepper – 1 kg
Oil – 0.5 l
Vinegar – 9 tbsp. l.
Tomato – 250 g
Sugar – 10 tbsp. l.
Salt – 1 tbsp. l. Black ground pepper – 0.5 tsp. l.
Peel all the vegetables. Grate the beets.
Grind the onion and pepper through a meat grinder.
Mix everything, add oil, tomato, sugar, salt, pepper.
Cook. 1.5 hours. At the end, pour vinegar.
Put a small bay leaf on the bottom of a sterilized jar.
Pack hot into jars, screw on metal lids.
