Just two minutes of vigorous exercise a day proved to be enough to keep from dying young

Research shows that just two minutes of vigorous exercise a day can be enough to lower your risk of dying young.

At the same time, you don't need to do anything extraordinary: you can, for example, just climb the stairs, run around the yard or jump.

Scientists at the University of Sydney analyzed data from more than 70,000 Britons, tracking their level of physical activity per week and their subsequent health over the next seven years.

The results showed that people who were active those who were active for just 15 minutes a week – or 2 minutes 9 seconds a day – were 18% less likely to die during the study period.

Examples of vigorous exercise include running, swimming, jumping off a trampoline, and stair climbing.
