According to the results of the work published in the journal Nutrients, a group of researchers from Australia studied data on the health of 70,000 people collected over ten years.
Scientists estimated the frequency of cardiovascular diseases in those , who regularly took multivitamins, and those who did not take any supplements.
It turned out that participants who included fish oil and calcium in their diet suffered the least from such problems. However, the pattern was valid only for those who followed a healthy diet in general. No such addiction was seen in volunteers who follow an unhealthy diet.
