Secretary of the Kyiv City Council Volodymyr Bondarenko said that Kyiv is actively preparing for the energy crisis. In particular, in the capital, they are working on the implementation of a mini CHP plant.

“We are preparing for alternative energy consumption of water supply and drainage. Because we understand that if there is no electricity, the pumps will not work, as well as those that supply water to residential buildings and that pump out water,” said the secretary of the Kyiv City Council.
According to his words, the city already provides alternative energy supplies all medical institutions, as well as most social facilities.
Kyiv has also initiated programs that help residents to provide their residential buildings with alternative energy, at the expense of compensation from the city budget.
Previously, the head of NEC “Ukrenergo” Volodymyr Kudrytskyi explained that achieving 100% fairness in power outages is not always possible due to technical limitations.
It was also reported that leading energy expert Mykhailo Gonchar explained whether Ukrainian nuclear power plants can produce more electricity.
