Late dinner: what you can eat before bed without fear

If you didn't have time to have dinner on time, you shouldn't suffer from hunger. There are foods that you can eat.

Of course, it is advisable not to eat at least an hour before bedtime. This threatens with problems with sleep and digestion – it is difficult to fall asleep on a full stomach, and if you still succeed, digestion will slow down. But hunger is not the best companion for a good night's sleep. What to do?

First, let's figure out what is not suitable for a late dinner. Put aside fast food, convenience foods, fried, fatty and sweet dishes. It is better to give up heavy food and those that contain a lot of fat and fast carbohydrates.

For a late dinner, foods that contain little fat and few fast carbohydrates are suitable. For example, you can make a vegetable smoothie – it will help you satisfy your hunger and saturate your body with vitamins. Mix a celery stalk, tomato, cucumber and basil – you will get a fragrant and tasty drink that you can have as a snack. The same vegetables, cut for a salad, will bring even more benefits.

You can eat low-fat dairy products. For example, yogurt, cottage cheese, kefir, a glass of milk with honey. They can be combined with fruits and vegetables – you will get a completely complete meal.

If you are very hungry, eat a portion of buckwheat. This cereal is easily digestible, rich in protein and well satisfies hunger. A small portion of chicken broth is also suitable, if it suddenly turns out to be at hand. You can eat grilled or steamed vegetables, a portion of seafood is also suitable.

As a small snack, you can use a few (about 30 grams) nuts or the same amount of dark chocolate.
