The weight loss phase is followed by patient support, in which the patient is helped to navigate the products and make smart choices to maintain the current weight . This allowed 8 out of 10 people to get rid of type 2 diabetes without the need to take medication for at least two years.
143 people participated in the study. The scientists found that the average blood pressure steadily decreased as weight was lost. It remained lower after the end of the diet and was maintained for 12 and 24 months.
