Lunch at the company turned out to be a factor in overeating

Scientists from the University of Birmingham found that women who dine in company end up eating more than those who dine alone.

The researchers conducted an experiment with 26 women. First, for six days, they dined in company, and then alone. Scientists observed this.

It turned out that on average, women ate 540 more calories than they did on three days when they had company lunches.

Scientists calculated that women could gain up to four kilograms in a year if they had company lunches at least once a day. Researchers suggest that men may have the same effect.
