According to the doctor, the Mediterranean diet will help to strengthen the immune system – this is the collective name of the nutritional principles established in the countries of the Mediterranean Sea basin. This diet was not developed by doctors – they only noticed that the inhabitants of the Mediterranean are less likely to suffer from cardiovascular diseases than representatives of many other regions. Also, obese people are much less common among them, the nutritionist said.
At the same time, the nutritionist emphasized that residents of the countries of the Mediterranean basin pay attention to physical activity, which, in combination with nutrition, is extremely important for health.
