Men were told about the ideal age for conceiving a child

A man can become a father at any age, but his peak fertility is between 20 and 30 years old. This was stated by a urologist-andrologist.
According to the doctor, there is no ideal age for a man to conceive a child. After puberty, he can become a father at any time in his life, since his body never stops producing sperm.
Many people think that fertility is directly related to a man’s ability to take an active part in sexual intercourse. But this is not entirely true! In old age, they may have difficulties with potency, while the quality of sperm will remain good.
Nevertheless, men should also remember about the “biological clock,” the doctor warned. “With age, genetic mutations occur in men’s sperm that increase DNA damage, which can affect a man’s overall fertility and the health of his future offspring,” the doctor explained.
How age affects men's health
Over the years, as the doctor noted, a man's body begins to produce fewer sperm. This reduces both their quantity and quality. Sperm become less mobile and cannot reach the egg for fertilization. The intensity of ejaculation and the amount of ejaculate also decrease with age.
According to the urologist, due to the decrease in the number of sperm, the percentage of healthy ones decreases. This causes a violation of the selection of high-quality genetic material.
With age, the risk of fertilization of an egg by a sperm with abnormalities in the DNA strand increases. Because of this, hereditary pathologies and genetic diseases are more often detected. Scientists claim, for example, that men over 40 years of age are more likely to have children with autism.
The doctor identified a number of factors whose negative impact increases with age. Among them, the most significant impact is:
- chronic diseases such as diabetes, atherosclerosis, hypertension
- bad habits – smoking and prolonged alcohol consumption significantly increase the risk of pathologies in the child, disorders in brain development and its cognitive functions
sedentary lifestyle - systematic and excessive consumption of unhealthy food – the father's proper diet reduces the risk of pathologies of the cardiovascular system and metabolic problems in his future generations
- stress – a man's psychological state can affect his reproductive functions in both a positive and negative way; frequent exposure to stressful situations can reduce a man's fertility and affect the child's psychological health
- poor ecology
According to the doctor, an active sex life, maintaining a healthy weight, a balanced diet, giving up bad habits and regular exercises to improve blood supply to the groin muscles will help to prolong reproductive youth. It is also necessary to lead an active lifestyle and avoid overheating of the genitals.
