Mobilization in Ukraine: in what cases can women be called up to the ranks of the Armed Forces (video)
Lawyer Darya Tarasenko noted that the new law on mobilization does not regulate the issue of women going abroad, but she suggests that changes are possible.
Firstly, the lawyer stressed, the norms regarding the military registration of women have not changed – those of them who have a medical or pharmaceutical education must be registered with the TCC and SP. At the same time, Tarasenko emphasized, this should be done regardless of whether women with such an education have work experience in their field.
Secondly, the requirement to update personal data applies to conscripted women.
Thirdly, the conscription of women to the ranks of the Armed Forces, even under martial law, is possible only with their consent, which was not the case in the previous version of the law on mobilization.
“And this means that forced conscription of women is impossible,” the lawyer explained.
Regarding border crossing, Tarasenko noted that currently the new law on mobilization does not regulate the issue of women going abroad. However, she assumes that changes are possible.
Recall that on May 9, Focus provided a list of professions that will be reserved for service in the Armed Forces. First of all, we are talking about conscript civil servants of category A and 50% of civil servants who belong to categories B and B.
Focus also wrote on May 8 about the possibility of refusing to serve in the Armed Forces due to religious beliefs.
