Murder of a teenager on the Kyiv funicular: the suspect faces life imprisonment
The pre-trial investigation into the murder of a teenager at the station of the Kyiv funicular has been completed. The suspect faces life imprisonment.
What is known
The tragedy happened on April 7. An employee of the State Security Office (SOD), being in a state of alcohol and drug intoxication, began to cling to passengers, including minors, for no reason.
“After leaving the car, the law enforcement officer approached the teenager and forcibly pushed him out the window. The boy fell, broke the glass with his head, and received a fatal neck cut. The minor died at the scene,” the SDB adds.
The detainee was immediately removed from his duties. In particular, the suspect's command fully contributed to the investigative actions.
What is at stake
Later, the suspect was reclassified to Part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in connection with which the detainee faces life imprisonment.
We remind you that during the trial the prosecutors requested that the man be remanded in custody without the possibility of bail. The court, for its part, granted the request.
