Breakfast is truly the most important meal of the day. Another study confirmed that its pass seriously harms intelligence.
Chinese scientists conducted a study in which 3342 people participated. All of them were men with an average age of 62.
Researchers analyzed their food preferences, and especially the habit of eating or skipping breakfast. And intelligence tests were conducted by phone, they assessed memory, mathematical abilities and other characteristics.
Naturally, researchers took into account various factors of life and health that can affect intelligence. But even taking them into account, it was found that eating on a regular schedule best strengthens cognitive health.
However, skipping breakfast increases the risk of its violations. The results are completely consistent with similar findings in previous studies involving children, teenagers and young adults who often skip meals.
Skip breakfast for any reason ultimately proves to be counterproductive. Many people are in a hurry and don't consider themselves hungry in the morning, which is why they skip the morning meal. This is wrong, as is a low-quality breakfast consisting only of simple sugars such as a chocolate bar. It also negatively affects intelligence.
