In particular, cereal fitness bars and a variety of ready-made breakfast cereals were named by Spanish experts as among such insidious “low-calorie” products that prevent weight loss. These products practically do not contain fiber and protein – the most important components that ensure a slender figure. However, they are often high in sugar and quickly digestible carbohydrates, which contribute to an increase in fat mass.
Nutritionists also advise against using ready-made smoothies and tomato paste. The reason is still the same – a lot of sugar (in addition, they may contain starch). It is better to prepare them yourself at home, doctors say.
Dried fruits should not be considered low-calorie: the lack of water in them makes the concentration of sugar particularly significant. For this reason, you should give preference to ordinary fruits.
Another product that prevents weight loss is sauces. For example, balsamic vinegar and soy sauce contain a lot of added sugar and calories, which many consumers do not even suspect.
Products that do not contain sugar, but its substitutes, are also included in the “black list”. According to experts, sweeteners are able to change the intestinal microbiome, thereby disrupting metabolism.
Boiled eggs, natural yogurt without sugar, not very sweet fruits, white cheeses should be preferred to all the products listed above, experts in the field of weight loss stated. .
