In particular, the specialist noted that people make a mistake when they underestimate the impact of sleep on their weight. The nutritionist said that with systematic lack of sleep, fat accumulation can quickly form in the abdominal area.

“Constant lack of sleep leads to a number of health problems and weight gain. According to the study, healthy people who sleep no more than four hours a day eat 300 kilocalories more than those who rested for nine hours,” the doctor said.

Another mistake that prevents you from being slim, Ruxton called the lack of protein in your diet. A diet that does not contain enough protein contributes to the fact that a person constantly feels hungry and becomes prone to overeating.

In addition, among the mistakes that prevent you from having a slim and thin waist, the habit of using large plates (in small plates, the same portions look larger, which psychologically contributes to rapid satiety) and the reluctance to give up sweet drinks and alcohol were named.

“Alcoholic drinks increase the feeling of hunger and stimulate appetite,” the nutritionist reminded.
